FAQ

A birth tub is a helpful comfort measure tool to use during your labor and delivery experience.
-
Yes! It is completely safe for both you and your baby. The baby will not drown as you bring them up out of the water to your chest. Make sure to bring your baby up and out of the water with their face down (facing the water) as you bring them up and out to avoid them taking a big gulp of water and choking. You are also not at any risk of infection from a water birth as long as the tub stays at a normal temperature of 96-100 degrees Fahrenheit and the water stays clean throughout the duration of use. Showering before entering the tub for use can also reduce risks of infection.
-
Our setup is very simple! Simply use an air pump to inflate the tub from the air plug located on the side of the tub. Be careful not to underfill or overfill. Once inflated, fill with lukewarm or cold water to start and slowly increase the heat. Be careful not to put too hot of water in at the very beginning as this may shock the pool as it adjusts to such a temperature increase.

This decision is entirely yours! Our tubs can be used once or multiple times. If you plan to use them multiple times, we highly recommend using a universal liner from www.inhishands.com until our custom fit liners come in February 2025!
It's up to you and your family to decide whether to sanitize and reuse the tub for future births. Our tubs are designed for use by a single family, or, if rented out, to always be used with a liner.
Please note that Tubina Wild LLC cannot be held liable for any infections or complications resulting from improper sanitation of the birth tubs.

COMING SOON FEBRUARY 2025! Pre-orders will be available to purchase in January.
In the interim of us getting our custom liners and you’re in need of a liner, we recommend the universal liner available at www.inhishands.com.

You may enter your warm birth tub when you are ready for more comfort and relief during your labor. It is encouraged to be in whatever position you feel is best for you in the moment or whatever position can help facilitate progress to help your baby come easier. You can lean into the tub against the sides and relax, do Hands and Knees position, running start with one knee up and foot on the ground, lay on your side, squat, stand and sway with legs in the water. This is your birth! Follow your instinct.
-
While you are more than welcome to use your own bathtub for your birth, most tubs are not designed with comfort in mind and the depth needed to fully submerge your body and belly completely to get the full effects and benefits of waterbirth.
-
Our tubs are very sturdy and made with the highest quality materials to ensure they don’t fall over, wobble, bend, or deflate during your birth.
-
After thorough discussions with our manufacturer, we've learned that no PVC thickness can genuinely be labeled as 'professional grade.' This suggests that such claims are likely a marketing tactic . Rest assured, our tubs are built to be exceptionally sturdy and crafted from high-quality materials.
